Challenged with how to integrate the 3D learning framework from the new science standards into your science lessons?
Learn how to bring 3D science instruction to life, ensuring students develop a deeper, lasting understanding of science concepts!
The 3D ePLC provides interactive, standards-based professional learning to help educators confidently implement the instruction required by the new TEKS and STAAR. With each video and accompanying lesson, we’ll demonstrate the interconnectedness of Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs), Recurring Themes and Concepts (RTCs), and science content and how to use models, phenomena, and real-world connections to support learning.
Audience:
5th-grade teachers, campus and district instructional leaders
Campus-level membership includes:
- 10 engaging, 20-30-minute learning videos focused on the highest-impact topics in 5th grade science. Designed to build teacher content knowledge, these videos explicitly demonstrate connections to the SEPs and RTCs and simplify the “what” and the “how” of quality 3D instruction
- 10 lessons (in English and Spanish) to illustrate how content and process come together in planning and delivering instruction. These lessons can be used for intervention or as supplemental resources
- Integration and access to the lead4ward Grade 5 Science Field Guide, supporting the 10 high-impact standards with clear guidance
- Ready-to-use instructional strategies for all 10 high-impact topics (in English and Spanish)
- Built-in differentiation to make new science content accessible for all learners
- Varied visuals, academic vocabulary, and cross-content connections to support schema building and transfer of learning
- Direct email and phone support from the lead4ward science content lead
The science 3D ePLC service year is June 1, 2025 - May 31, 2026.
